Matt Tate is a Sauk County native who has built his career in law enforcement by doing the work — learning the job firsthand and serving alongside deputies who protect our communities every day.

His experience includes helping develop the local K9 program, where he worked side by side with his K9 partner, Jennings. That experience shaped a leadership style grounded in trust, accountability, and teamwork.

While his career has taken him beyond Sauk County at times, this is home — and serving this community has always been his priority.
